Privacy Policy

Timeslide is a world clock. It doesn't need to know who you are, so it doesn't ask. This page explains exactly what leaves your device, where it goes and why.

Who we are

Timeslide (the apps for iPhone, Android, Apple Watch and Mac, and this website) is made by 99 Francs Agency (“we”). For anything about privacy, write to sales@99francs.agency.

What stays on your device

Your cities (including any names you give them, like “Mum”), their order, your theme and other settings, and your widget choices are stored only on your device. We don't run a server that receives them and we never see them.

What leaves your device, and why

ServiceWhat is sentWhy
Open-MeteoThe latitude and longitude of the cities in your list. Like any web request, it also carries your device's IP address. To show the weather forecast on your cards and widgets. No names, labels or anything about you are sent. You can turn weather off in Settings. See Open-Meteo's terms.
Apple iCloudYour cities and settings, if iCloud sync is on (iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac).To keep your devices in step. The data is stored in your own iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy; we can't access it. You can turn sync off in Settings.
Google backupYour cities and settings (Android).Android's built-in backup restores them on a new phone. It is stored in your Google account under Google's privacy policy; we can't access it. You can turn backup off in Android settings.
ipapi.co / ipwho.isYour IP address, once, on the first launch of the Mac app (and when you tap “Find my city”).To put the city you're in at the top of the list. Only the approximate coordinates are used, to pick the nearest city; nothing is stored by us.
App Store / Google PlayHandled entirely by Apple or Google when you buy Timeslide Pro.To process the purchase. We never receive your name, email or payment details — only a confirmation that Pro is active on your account.

Transfer links and QR codes

“Transfer to another device” packs your cities and settings into a link or QR code. It is created on your device and goes only where you send it. Anyone who has the link can see the cities in it, so share it like you would share a photo of your list.

What we don't do

This website

The site uses no cookies and no analytics. It remembers your language choice in your browser's local storage. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of the request. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and operations.

Children

Timeslide is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete. Your data lives on your devices and, if you use them, in your own iCloud or Google account — removing the app and turning off sync or backup deletes it. If you're in the EU, UK or elsewhere with data-protection rights and have a question, write to us and we'll answer.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
